Fourths well beaten

Old Silhillians 4th XI  4  Coalville Town 4th XI  1

DTZ Central League South East Division One

Coalville's fourth string were well beaten in their latest DTZ Central League South East Division One clash against promotion chasing Old Silhillians.

Town started the game brightly and took the lead inside the opening five minutes. Craig Deacon took a quick free hit outside the dee and rolled the ball into the path of Matt Howells who hit home his fourth goal of the season.

Coalville continued to have much of the play for the next 15 minutes, with Jordan Ward and James Ewing both having chances to extend the lead.

But Old Silhillians managed to draw level and then went in front before half-time to leave Town wondering where it all had gone wrong. The home side were now into their flow, and made it 3-1 with a well worked penalty corner.

The home side then wrapped the game up with a move from one end of the pitch to the other late on to secure a 4-1 win.
