Dumelow double inspires Town

Coalville Town 5th XI  2  Melton 5th XI  2

DTZ Central League South East Division Two

James Dumelow struck twice to help Coalville pick up another point against Leicestershire rivals Melton.

Coalville went into the game of confident of picking up more points after destroying Melton 4-1 earlier in the season. But it was a tighter game this time.

Adam Lloyd and Adam Martin in the centre of the park provided much of the backbone for Town's performance, while Ezra Watson, Liam Bates and Tom Sloan were in good form at the back.

Good work in midfield allowed Melton to take the lead, but Town fought back when good play between Josh McArthur and Martin set Dumelow in on goal and he swept home.

Coalville continued to battle and Declan Turner soon went close with a well struck shot, while Matt Wooldridge also saw an effort go wide.

Coalville then took the lead when Dumelow struck again with another swept goal, but Melton hit back late on to gain a share of the spoils.
