Bottom side swept aside by sixths

Northampton Lions 4th XI 0  Coalville Town 6th XI  4

Bodykraft Central League South East Division Two

Coalville's sixth string made it three wins out of three over Northampton Lions with a convincing 4-0 win in Northamptonshire.

Town started the game brightly and took the lead early when David Lorrimer fired home from a penalty corner. Coalville created a string of further penalty corners, but were wasteful in front of goal so only went in at the interval one goal to the good.

In the second half bottom of the table Northampton actually started to come back into it and began to pressurise the Coalville defence. It took until around 15 minutes from the end for Coalville to make the game safe when Matt Howells slotted home to make it 2-0.

Northampton's heads dropped after this and Town made it 3-0 when Martin Saunt fired a penalty corner that was turned home at the near post. And the fourth goal came in the dying seconds when Lorrimer got his second after taking the ball around the Northampton keeper.
